There is a granola bar we buy that comes in a rectangular box. Fits six individual packages nicely. Now, the box comes with five packages .

Magnolia fresh milk used to be 1L per carton too? It’s now reduced to 946ml per carton. I understand 无商不奸，but NTUC FairPrice is a cooperative with lower tax rate as compared to CS, SS etc. Still can’t believe I bought threadfin at $66/kg while the same thing in CS Fresh only costs $50/kg. NTUC FairPrice can do better.

There is this omega-3 mini capsules I usually buy, the bottle is still the same but the company has reduced the quantity from 400 to 360 capsules. Subtle form of inflation, you pay the same but get fewer

Seriously speaking, price increases are for those people who can bear it. If enough people sound and show their displeasure, companies have no choice but to reduce or maintain their original prices. My favourite cereal, for example, ballooned from $5.90 to $7.90 in just a couple of days. I simply refused to buy it anymore, and from the \"always full\" status of its stock (I check it every couple of days out of curiosity), it seems many others are doing so too. Recently, the price dropped to $6.20 and I bought a couple but it went back up to $7.90 again. Sigh. Next time, I'll stock up

Prior to that, I usually can get one at $1.30+ (by weight). When they repriced the cabbage at $1.95 each, nobody bought. After hanging on for a month or two, NTUC FairPrice then reverted to sell by weight and I now can get one at $1.30+ again! Can you imagine the substantial increase in price for just one cabbage.

At ntuc, the wongbak from china was sold at one big piece. Am i expected to eat it daily for one whole week? I asked the staff to cut into smaller pieces. She said the wongbak came as such.

A suitable retort is that these Western Taiwanese are very rude!

Why I find the term 坡县 offensive? It denies Singapore’s sovereignty and implies that Singapore is part of China. Are our masters in Beijing?

Poor management on our govt part to let in the large influx of PRC migrants. They may be highly educated but lack cultural sensitivity and basic respect of our nation. All PRC new migrants should undergo compulsory National Education to learn about basic respect. Beside National Education (which obviously is not working), also need to pass a test (basic manners/cultural respect) before granted PR.
