For sharing info on Home Leave Processing for Filippino helpers:

As soon as the airfare of helper is bought (late Sep to early Oct), I started to source for agencies to do the Home Leave Processing when I confirmed I could not be DIY.

Thanks to some mums here who gave valuable advice. I decided to engage the service of Kelly in Pamako Employment Agency located at Beauty World Shopping Centre.

In early May, I spoke with Kelly who advised me that I need to renew the WP of helper first before we could kick start anything.

She emailed 3 forms for my dad (employer) and helper to sign.

In late Jul, I received the notification from MOM on renewal of WP.

In early Aug, I bought the medical insurance and renewed the WP.

Today I brought the confirmation of renewal WP from MOM, the signed forms, helper’s passport, photocopies of dad’s ic and helper’s WP to Kelly.

As there is a 60 days validity, she cant process my application until late Aug.

She will update once she received the approval.

I asked her what to expect from the processing. She said the signed forms will be stamped by the embassy to indicate that helper could leave for Spore to work.

Ok, some more days of waiting before this job is considered done.

I recommend Kelly in Pamako Employment Agency.
(am NOT related to her and am NOT in this industry).

You need to hv helper's WP, her passport and employer's NRIC.

Kelly will give you a few forms to fill (not much sweat). You can always ask her to email you the forms so that you can save a trip to the agency centre.

Based on your helper's departure date, she will advise you when to come to submit the forms for processing. It cant be too early and of course NOT too late.

In my case, my helper's departure date on 24 Sep. I submitted the forms to her on 4 Aug. She started the processing on 8 Aug and I just received and collected the Approval (23 Aug).

Haven't tried myself but I know some colleagues who did so. Can choose course depending on what u prefer helper to be trained on but personally, i would choose to hire a fulltime caregiver over someone who still needs training. It would cost more but can rest assured that she already knows what she's doing and can start asap.

Can share thoughts about private caregiver like homage? I am aware that it is expensive but if can provide spport that we need, cost is not an issue. Would appreciate your answers. Thank you so much 🙏

Agree but would u recommend that to part-time helpers too? Or only to full time ones?

This Caregiver Training Grant (CTG) is for the employer to send his/her helper for training.
