Any mum send their helpers for training using the Caregiver Training Grant ($200 per FY)?
What are the course your helper have attended?
      Thank you.
Haven't tried myself but I know some colleagues who did so. Can choose course depending on what u prefer helper to be trained on but personally, i would choose to hire a fulltime caregiver over someone who still needs training. It would cost more but can rest assured that she already knows what she's doing and can start asap.

Can share thoughts about private caregiver like homage? I am aware that it is expensive but if can provide spport that we need, cost is not an issue. Would appreciate your answers. Thank you so much 🙏

Agree but would u recommend that to part-time helpers too? Or only to full time ones?

This Caregiver Training Grant (CTG) is for the employer to send his/her helper for training.

Dear all, can someone please share how to renew the passport of a helper from Myanmar? We went to the embassy, we were told to apply for appointment online. When trying to access their site online, there is either no appointment or the web-site crashes. Many thanks in advance.

I recommend Maidsearch, especially for Myanmar helpers, look for SiLing as she is very detailed, responsive and strict (which is good for employers).

Hello, just a simply question regarding damages caused by your housemaid. Do you cover it or transfer on maids?

I had a dispute last with my friend from UK regarding this. To sum up, we hire Filipino housemaid (actually it is a young man, but doesn’t matter here). So he is hired by the agency and delegated to us by them, stays with us already few weeks. In charge of all domestic chores apart of cooking. While handwashing my delicates last (nylons hosiery) he unintentionally tore apart one pair of it, 35 usd, sorry I understand it was a accident etc, didnt charge him, but 2 weeks later he broke one of my favorite cup of tea… still no harm for him, just a talk and warning. What is your strategy here? Kate
