Any dermatologist for pigmentation?

To find a good dermatologist for pigmentation removal, ask for recommendations from friends, family, or colleagues, consult with your primary care physician, use online resources like health review websites and social media, check if the dermatologist is a member of professional organizations like the American Academy of Dermatology or the British Association of Dermatologists, schedule consultations, verify their credentials, request before-and-after photos, ask questions about the procedure, recovery process, and other concerns, consider the location and convenience of the dermatologist’s office, and check if the procedure is covered under your health insurance plan. Remember, choosing a dermatologist is a personal decision, and always consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice.

Finding a good dermatologist is really hard, try acid cream and also take skin vitamins, can you describe your pigmentation?

Thanks, found out my pigmentation is due to an autoimmune disease and nothing can be done to remove the pigmentation.

How did you find out ?

Well, the cream didn’t work. Dermatologist said the next step was to do a skin biopsy. Results came back. The one on my face was inconclusive. Around this period, a few of my female siblings and nieces were diagnosed with autoimmune diseases and it struck me I may have it too. Told my dermatologist and she ordered a blood test and bingo!
I am glad I consulted her. I went to see another dermatologist 2 years earlier but he was more keen to sell his laser services to me. I am glad I trusted my instincts and stopped seeing him after the first consultation.
