Yes my daughter was awarded before. If I don’t recall wrongly it is by application only and the applicants are selected based on a variety of factors including academics, cca awards and leadership, VIA etc.

No idea….Sch is not transparent about this. Firstly this is by application so not everyone who is eligible bother to apply 2. For those who bother or attempt to apply, there’s many things to fill out/complete (ie very daunting) 3. For those who applied, I have heard many were eventually not awarded. My girl barely scrapped through I think cos she’s not super outstanding.

My dd is seeking help to improve her LA, her weakest link! Generally, she’s doing well for all other subjects except her LA is consistently B4 throughout the year in S3! Any advise or even tuition recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

That year in which your daughter applied, for her batch, got more than half the cohort of NYGH girls also applied ? In the end, Total, how many got it, besides your daughter ?
