An alternative website for short listing of secondary school for selection for your kid:

This contains all the popular shorting listing criteria, plus historical cut off point for each secondary school and posting groups:

        https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/sg.parent/viz/SingaporeSecondarySchoolSearch/Search

This is a simplified version that display only cut off points:

        https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/sg.parent/viz/SingaporeSecondarySchoolHistoricalCutOffPoint/Search

View these workbooks on a computer.
It may not display well on mobile devices

Thanks a lot, very helpful. I was wondering what else to fill up the 6 slots beside Anderson if she qualified ..haha..

Actually I also like the environment.. actually mainly also because my gal has 2 criterias, no girl school and no sap. I guess she literally cancelled off 99% of food school .. haha .

We went Chung Cheng main, she steps in only less than 5mins she wanted to leave already.. haha..
Take the liberty to shortlist schools around the areas you mentioned, and non SAP and non girl school.

Yeah, we went to Anderson's open house . .. she is very comfortable and likes the environment there .. I guess as long she likes it, that should be the one..no point forcing her to school she doesn't like ...

So, if without surprises, let her take o level path ....
We missed this open house two times. Must come back to KSP to update, K. 😄

With the AL point system, usually how many AL point difference ‘to catch’ in the next/last option, to be considered safe/safer, with reference to past years’ COP?

I don’t think there’s a definite answer to your question.

IMHO, schools’ COP in the single digit will, at most, move by 1 point. Schools in the low 10s will change by, at most 2 points whereas schools in the high 10s to 20s can change by as much as 4 points. However, COP is only part of the picture as rank placement also plays a big part now.

Hence, depending on how well your child do, and to be considered safe, the last option may have to go as high as +4 points from last year’s COP.

On ranking of choices. It doesn’t matter right ie student A with AL14 put Z school as her 1st choice while student B with AL13 put same school as 4th choice. Student B will get admission first.
