Hi, anyone can advise how is Maris Stella High School? Any bad or good reviews are welcome. Thank you.
Apart from Maris Stella High School, is there any other boys schools that can be considered, apart from RI & HCI. Looking for a school not only good in academics, but also culture and the over wellbeing for the students.

ACSI, ACS Barker, Victoria school, CHS, SJI. There are only 12 secondary boys schools.

Hi parents of Marists, I’m considering putting MSHS as first choice for my DS, as I’ve heard that the new Principal has initiated many positive changes in the school. May I seek your inputs on the school management and culture? Is the no-bullying policy effective?


Some cons I gathered is that the campus seems pretty rundown, a lot of ongoing constructions with many mosquitoes. Is it very dusty/noisy? Are your boys able to focus well in school?

My son had a rough start in Term 1, I guess new environment, juggling more subjects, busy with CCA, but he found his rhythm after a while and continued to improve with every term. He is now a student ambassador for the school and so you may bump into him if you go to the Open House tomorrow Overall, we are happy with the school.

Thank you geekgirl77. Very useful information ! It’s indeed WA1 with 10% report book component.

How are the teachers in the school esp with more subjects and CCA .

What are the school hours like daily and any need to stay back most of the time in secondary 1 ?

Teachers seem nice and caring, no complaints from my son.

But I barely see my son, the majority of the year his schedule was like Monday third language till 630pm, Tuesday normal till 145pm, Wednesday CCA till 6pm, Thur for half a year at least there was Malay enrichment classes till 330pm or 4pm I forgot, Fri sometimes CCA till 6pm and Saturday CCA till 1pm :scared:

CCA is Performing Arts.

There were some training for the student leaders as well during the holiday and before Open house.
The homeworks definitely ramped up over the semester and yes for group projects but no spelling, but he does practice writing his Chinese words everyday which is what his teacher told them to do.
