Whenever we go overseas, we’ll use the YouTrip Card for good exchange rates. After each transaction/pymt, we’ll disable app & even if card is cloned or misused, it’ll be limited. Ano feature we appreciate is, we do not hv to load too much into the card & if encounter a need for more than we had previously loaded, we can top-up enuf to make the new pymt. At least one way to mitigate phishing or card being taken over fr our control. If one card is lost, btwn DH & myself, we’ll step in to use our card & leave the other one suspected to hv been compromised inactivated further. & will hv no funds further loaded. The only disadv is once u load a specific amt, it cannot be reversed, so we only load when we need. Small effort to keep our funds & card safe.

We didn’t find Revolut to be an ideal card & had nvr used them.
Yes, this YouTrip Card is ideal for some countries. We no longer need to bring a lot of cash and we can load the Card whenever and wherever. We used it when we were in Japan (for JPY) and Austria (for Euro).
But it is for some currencies only. South Korean Won is not one of them and maybe need to use another Card.

My friend took the KTMB train alone to shop at City Square Mall JB. Went in in the early weekday morning to buy things from pharmacy, some bread/Donuts etc., then take a 5 min train ride back to SG at 4pm. You may want to try that after sch reopens.

To share some unpleasant experiences we had just now. I bought a train ticket from easybook.com for DD2 to go back on her own as she has something on tonight. But to our horror, she couldn’t enter the CIQ checkpoint as there is no record of her for the train ride. Went to KTM counter to check and was informed that easybook.com is not an authorized ticketing agent!

Poor DD2 had to cross over the two borders by foot alone. So scary leh… sob sob…
leeyl, sob sob i feel heart pain for your dd2 now ( in a mummy point of view)

Saw your post yesterday and it gave us scary thoughts! My car more than 1yr old so not considered new anymore.

When we reached hotel at 9pm… hub asked me should we go check if our car was still there. 😂
