There's an amount of jadedness. After you have gone through it with one kid, you get tired and lazy and doesn't go through the same thing with your next child. Oh my.. so true. After just 1 PSLE, I want to rest… don’t want to go thru again. So I let go a lot with my #2. Maybe come P5, I will feel the pressure again and move my butt. Hopefully not too late.

Unfortunately, this batch is affected by changes in syllabus for both Math and Science. But for Math, I guess the bulk of it no changes, still applicable but I’m not sure how the qn types may change for PSLE.
NETs and Pie Chart topics are being pushed down from P6 to P4. Speed removed completely.

For Science, it seems the focus will be more towards application questions, so MORE “explain” kind of questions. Some concepts added and some removed. Cell topic is completely removed.

I wish there’s like a mapping, so it’s easier to identify what has changed. I need to calibrate my 2022 PSLE knowledge to guide my 2026 PSLE DD. 😭

I think removal of 'speed' topic calls for celebration! NETS and Pie charts are small topics anyway.
Removal of \"cells\" is also good! But again, a small topic.

The tricky part for Science OEQ is how to handle the 'Explain' type of questions. I coached my own kids and all my nieces and nephews and I learnt from experience that once I can get the kids to understand CER and how to apply, they could tackle all the 'Explain' questions confidently.

The first PSLE I went through was the most stressful for me. After that, it got easier because I realised on hindsight what I was spending too much or too little time on and calibrated the process. After 6 rounds of PSLE, I am still excited whenever I think of PSLE. Haha

These days, even with 4 children I think many peoples' eyes will pop out... :yikes:

But for people in the old days, it is nothing. I came from a family with SEVEN children, me being the youngest.
I guess I am the luckiest player in the team

Can be kids' cousins, close neighbours and close friends' children, not necessarily own children.

I only went through PSLE once, with my younger daughter (my own not counted!). But have watched on the sidelines for children of relatives, friends, colleagues, and KSP members. I won't say I'm still excited, but I do take an interest. Hence my still being here despite that PSLE being 12 years ago!
