I also wonder if CGS COP at AL11 means same number of express classes or not. and if same, it means there will be more resources to take in PG2?
TKGS PG2 is also 25.
TKGS PG3 is 13.
I called because I really wanted to know, as there isnt any COP thread this year.
The website has 2024 sec 1 form teachers, and as I counted, there will be only 7 sec 1 classes in 2024.
Is 7 classes the norm? I thought there will be about 8 or 9 classes.
In FSBB, form class size can be of 38 pupils but subject class size may be smaller. Hard to say also -

Previously (2023 S1 and the few years before that), I believe both CGS and TKGS had six S1 classes. Someone posted that CGS intake would be the equivalent of 5 Express/G3 and 2 NA/G2 this year (haven't seen anything on their website but the split seems sensible). Not sure on TKGS or TKSS.
TKGS PG2 is also 25.
TKGS PG3 is 13.

In my son’s fsbb school, the subject class size for G2 is usually smaller than 40 (due to lack of sheer numbers; or intentionally better ratio for more attention, not sure).

But for G3 subjects they will usually combine the G3 students from 2 form classes (with some moving to different classroom) end up roughly 40 students in that subject class also. -

Hmm. I thought HCI has been consistently at AL7M, even since the indicative COP. I don’t rmb they got AL7D before.
HCI COP was 7D for 2021 PSLE batch. Only dropped to 7M last year.
Not indicative enough to conclude that all COPs have improved. Last year COPs increased for a number of express schools, likely due to lowest cohort size (Tiger year) compared to 2021 batch.
Also could be different DSA intake size in different years. -

I think some data not correct. I’m quite sure it was AL7M because my DS was PSLE 2022, so I referred to MOE finder, it was AL7M and I rmb thinking it hasn’t changed.

My previous post was to point out the the COPs of the 2022 PSLE batch may not be typical as the cohort size was the lowest, so a number of COPs were not their usual. Eg. MHS, Commonwealth Sec, St M, CGS, BPGH, CCHM etc -
Does that mean that the cohort vacancies for S1 did not change for tiger year? I know for P1 registration, they do reduce the cohort vacancies for Tiger year.
Went to check the PSLE Cohort size
2021 - 39119
2022 - 37095
2023 - 38088
The 2023 cohort size is not quite similar to 2021 but the COP for quite afew schools have improved by 1-2 points, back to 2021 COP. So I think overall the 2023 kids did better.
