              1)
              the O-level Cut off point,
              for 2023 PSLE batch (born 2011), is

              9

              Not 8.

              2) is just 9

              Not 9 (Distinction) nor

              9 (Merit) nor

              9 (Pass).

                1) ALL Sec 1 " IP " students,

                have to do Higher Chinese.

                2) for the O-level track -

                not all Sec 1 students do Higher Chinese.

                But,
                if you are interested or keen to do Higher Chinese,

                then at end of Sec 1,

                If you do well in your Sec 1 ( pu-hua + other core subjects),
                then,

                school will give you the chance to do Higher Chinese, at the beginning of Sec 2.

                Also,
                by the middle of Sec 1, do inform or notify, let your Sec 1 class Chinese pu-hua laoshi (Teacher) know of your intention outfront that, u are very keen to do Higher Chinese.

                Because

                once u join Higher Chinese in the beginning of Sec 2, our school will prepare u, to sit for pu-hua (O-level), at the end of your Secondary 3.

                  wef next year 2024 batch of Junior College (1) students entering into Eunoia JC, born in year 2007 :-

                  MOE is implementing the brand new \"maximum 70\" A-level score points system. No more under 90 points, anymore.

                  =================

                  Question
                  =======

                  How is your 2023 O-level (Higher Chinese) score achieved
                  (sat for, in November 2023),

                  being mapped to (or converted into) the new A-level H1 score, under maximum \"70 points\" ?

                  Answer
                  =======

                  Regarding (concerning) O level Higher MT grade,
                  they are as follows:

                  =================

                  HMTL - A MTL - Rank points

                  A1/A2 = H1 MT “A” = 10 rp

                  B3 = H1 MT B = 8.75rp

                  B4 = C = 7.5rp

                  C5 = D = 6.25rp

                  C6 = E = 5rp

                  D7 = S = 2.5rp

                  E8/F9 = U = 0

                  Please note that

                  the MTL rank points will be added and rebased to the new 70 rank points, if it helps to increase your overall score.

                      Thanks, does any parent happen to know if the 2024 school calendar is out? Don’t seem to be able to get it this year.

                        There is a change of VP (Academic), this year (2024), to

                        Mdm Low Chia Yee.

                        Mdm Baey Ee-Lyn :
                        the ex, former VP (Academic) has already left St Nick, become Principal of Ahmad Ibrahim primary school wef 2024.

                        Thus,
                        give the new VP (Academic) sometime, to come out with the new

                        2024 Secondary School calendar.
                        She is new to St Nick. Perhaps, her style of calendar management is different from that of ex Mdm Baey.
