      If u want anecdotal “statistics”, i could probably give a rough breakdown based on my son’s P1 mixed ability class & where they went. Out of 30 kids:

      I think 3-4 are in ACSI’s IB track;
      7-8 are in ACSI’s O level track;
      ~15 are in ACS Barker;
      (2 left ACSJ in P4 to go to GEP at ACSP;
      1 left to exit to a special needs school;
      1 left to migrate overseas with parents).

        Sample size is too small. Seems like your class is top heavy

          I dont understand what u mean by top heavy? This is a very generic P1 class. If i were to look at the P3 mixed ability class, again, somewhat similar proportions.

          If I were to look at the top 2 P6 classes, more boys from those would have gotten into the IB track. And yet, the IB track boys tell me that their Y1 class has “hardly any other affiliated boys”.

            Using your nunbers from the p1 class

            Assuming the geppers did well enough

            12 out of 30 got AL8 and below?
            That’s 40%

            I also think it’s top heavy.

                Erm, the COP for ACSI’s IB track is AL7. So not 12 kids but 3-4 kids out of 30.

                And if u were thinking of the COP for ACSI’s O level track, it is not AL8 but in fact AL13 for affiliated boys.

                  40% (3+7+2) get AL13 or better. That's top heavy, vs ~25% (nationwide)

                    Right.

                    Pardon me. 13 or better.

                    8 will be crazy stats !

                      Hopefully some other parents can provide other anecdotal data points if they have.

                      The school does not take any particular steps to disclose the high scorers or their marks publicly. It doesnt seem to be the culture, unlike at other schools.

                        Also, if you have 4 boys getting AL7 or better, that is 13.3%. Even 3 boys means 10% getting AL7 or better and that is better than national AL8 or better.

                        I believe no other school disclosed such figures anymore since 2016 or earlier (I think). They removed ranking in report book then. the only indicators are MOE edusave awards.
