Depends on whether you sleep on your side or back, coz if u sleep on your side, you may need higher pillow, esp so for guys who have broader shoulders. I personally prefer to sleep on the bolster 😉

I have been checking on this recently too.

Most pp are raving abt Tempur. I got one for dh before but he didn't like it. I tried it too & didn't like it either.

Recently, saw someone from anotherforum recommended buckwheat pillows. Anyone using one? Any feedback?

          http://www.manzaistore.com/

Otherwise, I love hotel pillow but they never show the brands on it.

I've gotten used to those 'S'-shaped ergonomic pillows. Started with one 10 years ago. Bought another one a year ago and found it much harder than my old one :skeptical: .

Oh well, I've been using the new one for over a year now... it's ok. As to whether it is good, hmm... I don't know.

I am thinking if/when we toss and turn around will the ergonomic effect still be there.

Tempur brand seems to be quite frequently mentioned on here - wonder if it's worth the cost 😓

I've been using contoured pillows for several years - the kind which are thicker on the long sides and thinner in the middle. I'm a side-sleeper so it does help align my neck and head. I can't sleep on my back because of post-nasal drip! I bought my pillow from Seahorse on a sale. I can't believe the prices of some of these highly-promoted brands of mattresses and pillows! They may (arguably) be better, but so many times better?

I have tried an ergonomic pillow before (can’t remember the brand) which a relative passed to me cos didnt work for them.

It didnt work for me because i usually toss & turn: from side sleeping to back sleeping, to other side…i think ergo pillow only works for those who hardly move haha.

I am using a regular pillow but chose a fatter one with medium hardness. It provides the support i need.

If u go to those departmental stores, they have a variety of brands with different hardness. Sometimes if the sales auntie is those motherly kind, will happily let u try out the various choices (if they sell mattresses too, will let u lie down on the beds and “sleep” 5 min without pressure or obligation.

The last sentence is so true. I as looking around online and noticed the price differences can go really large.

The tossing & turning around was one of my main concerns regarding the cost vs. effectiveness of ergonomic pillow.

I was thinking of getting online, for promotional and/or convenience sake but your mention of the different hardness served as a reminder to better go check out the options in person.
