Hi everyone, I'm newbie mommy here. We didn't get our choice of Rivervale Primary during phase 2C. On Thursday 17 Aug, we gonna register for phase 2CS, Would like to get some feedback and comments from daddies and mummies here on
      1) Seng Kang Primary
      2) Greendale Primary
      3) Edgefield Primary
to help us to make better decision.
We welcome all your feedback and comments. You may PM me too.
      Thank you so much. šŸ™‚
Would love to read feedbacks too as my child is about to enter Primary. Currently in preschool which my child loves so much lol, and we're so happy with the experience. He made friends and learned so much and I think he's well prepared for P1. We appreciate the caring environment at My First Skool, where they thrive and grow. 😊

what do parents consider when you are choosing pri schools for your child?

        1) distance away from your home
        2) reputation?
        3) good teachers?

I think the order should be:
          1) reputation
          2) good teachers
          3) distance away from your home šŸ˜‚

We wouldn't have any issue with P1 registration if everyone chooses based on what you suggested.

Yes. Distance between home and primary school is ranked lowest for well-to-do-families as they can easily rent a place with their free flow cash without a blink.

Hi parents, I’m in a dilemma to choose between Maris Stella (Alumni, 5km away) or Kong Hwa (<1km, but need to ballot). My eldest is a boy followed by a girl who is 2 years younger. Ideally, I would like Kong Hwa so both of them can enter the same school, but I’m afraid of failing Phase 2C. What are your thoughts? What other good schools are there in Phase 2C(S) which may still be vacant and near Eunos area? Thank you!

Balloting only arise for SC less than 1 km, for both Maris & Kong Hwa.
If your kid is Not SC : zero chance

Tough decision. I suggest you put your son in Maris Stella first, and try to PV to Kong Hwa (which will require you to join the SHHK). That's assuming you will be registering your son NEXT YEAR in 2025. If not, that's too bad, because Kong Hwa will definitely require intense balloting for <1km in Phase 2C. In any case, if you managed to join SHHK and go for PV, you may get a chance to try for Phase 2B, and then transfer your son to be together with your daughter in P3.

                    Good luck!

You may also consider - Geylang Methodist school (Primary) - a Mixed-gender school - for Phase 2C because balloting is only for PR since Year 2022.

Yes both of them are Singaporean. My son can get into Maris Stella as husband is an ex-student. But the distance is not ideal (around 30 minutes door-to-door via public transport), and I still need to find a school for my daughter, who is 2 years younger, next time. We stay just next to Kong Hwa, so if they can both go Kong Hwa will be ideal.
