Oh, this is something which surprised me.
Note that if you use Trust card, you need to be FULLY employed. My sister's card got cancelled unceremoniously just a year after her retirement. So sad hor, NTUC think that retired people got no money to spend
So i must continue to be fully employed to use Trust Card. There is simply no trust at all that I can pay my bills punctually  -
Anybody use ezlink card ot NETS FlashPay Card?

What does FULLY employed mean? And how Trust Bank know that your sister was retired? I declare myself as self-employed, and no-one asks me how many hours a week I work. I never declare myself as \"retired\" though.

Just found this on the Trust Bank FAQ:
I'm a retiree, can I still apply for Trust credit card?
Yes, you may qualify for a credit card with a S$500 credit limit (subject to meeting other standard bank requirements), if you meet the below criteria:
- Singapore citizens and permanent residents
Age 56 years and above
Assessed annual income less than S$15,000
No credit card or unsecured loan with Standard Chartered Bank
There could be some other reason the card was cancelled? - Singapore citizens and permanent residents

There is the TRUST Credit Card, which I’m holding & im retired.
The young in my family uses TRUST Debit Card. DS has just finished schooling & not enlisted as yet. He’s doing some Part-Time stuff. I don’t think that’ll hv any impact. He got his TRUST Debit Card before his PT. -

I’m using SimplyGo. When I switched fr my previous card, all existing funds were transferred to my SimplyGo acct.

I can check my card expenses up to a month or tailor the period i want to view. My app shows all my travel history - destinations, time &
I can do top-up transfers at comfort of my home or anywhere. -
I better change it to Simply Go then. Think need deduct $3 for new card for transfer balance.

So many good cards! Since already registered for Revolut, will try to open DBS bank acct with DC for dd, keep the DBS DC (put inside drawer will be safer for dd) then make smaller amt trf to R card for daily usage.

That's weird. My sister's trust card was cancelled by the Trust administrators without her knowing which left her hanging dry at Fairprice. When she called, she was told the card was cancelled because she retired. We have no idea how Trust knew about her retirement, as her bills have always been paid on time.

Maybe @Esteema was a super earner in her hay days so they respect her account.
Anyway, I have no interest in getting a Trust card. I used to have like 10+ credit cards but I've been cancelling them and consolidating into my single DBS card, so I've only got one now. Cash is still king, and I pay with cash wherever possible to remove any digital trail I may leave on the transaction. -

I *HATE* SimplyGo.

1. They simply don't display the amount of money on the card at MRT gantries, and I have to refer to the app all the time :skeptical:
2. The card cannot be used on FlashPay terminals, eg. at Burger King and I had to use my FlashPay card instead.
Now LTA is saying everyone needs to use SimplyGo by June this year! Its ridiculous...
