I have never noticed that the lowest score is also shown. Eg 2-6, cut off at nett 6 but and lowest is nett 2. Has it always been like this?

I dunno. It’s my first time seeing this booklet, but it makes sense that they’d show the range just like how School Finder has been showing the range for several years now.

And @MKS may want to note that there were 3 and 4 pointers who chose CJC over other schools.

The JCs have shown the range since at least the 2022 JAE. I’m not sure what it was like before that.


For the secondary schools, the 2020 booklet included the range for 2019 PSLE scores. At the time, the SIS also provided info like median score as well (this system since scrapped). Again, not sure but guess would be the JC range was shown too at that time?

Cjc is one of the three JCs offering ELEP; The other two are RI and ACJC.

It seems like their GP dept is also strong.

If CJC is walking distance from home, SJI-JC would be very near by bus also. Similarly any of the Bukit Timah belt JCs would be quite accessible by bus/car.

This makes better sense now that u put it in this way. Based on reddit talks, there are substantial students who had concerns abt ip jae divide, try to avoid ipjc if they can.
So those with 7-2, 8-2, net 5 or 6, no hcl and not interested in IB, may choose affliated jc. Likely they are stronger in EL/arts. May not want to choose NYJC which has more SAP students.

38.9% of the students (2021 cohort) scored RP75 and above is not so ideal. Which also means around 60% of the students scored less than RP75….


CJC students have to work hard, to make sure that they stay within the 40% if they want to get into more popular Uni courses.
