Probably those girls were taught to dash for bomb shelter during raid while running towards bomb shelter those girls needed a way to camouflage themselves - looked like swaying trees from the sky when running.

My understanding is there is an official way of enrolling students. School will consider AL score first. AL6 students will be ahead of AL7 students. When it comes to balloting, if more than 1 students have same AL scores, then HCL grade will be considered next.

Not sure about recent year but in prior years more than 70% attained distinctions (A1/2).
