      Thanks.

Having said that, I think Molin is still worth considering for the Primary levels... πŸ˜‰

      Hi Voovoo
Not sure if it even work for Primary level. I have the same grouse as you do for the preschool level.

I personally sat in with my son at Molin for every lesson that he was there (cos he's such a cry baby , u see. hence, i've no choice but to sit in )... by the stroke of luck, this arrangement works well for both me & him !

See - when i sat in, I see for myself how dull the class is...how there was no curriculum... and week after week they keep repeating \"wo shi nan hai zi ; bu shi nu hai zi\" (i m a boy; not a girl) and vice versa.. so boring !!! No music & movement, no colouring to make lessons interesting. There were much \"moments of awkward silence\" in the class.

I remembered reading here where a parent commented there is music & movement so i went to ask the teacher & she said she could arrange ... just nice that was the week leading to CNY, and she tried to play CNY song...but she had to \"fight\" with another class teacher for the cassette player (catch this: not CD player but cassette player). End up, when we finally got the cassette player from the other teacher, both she & the assistant teacher spent 10-15 mins fiddling with the player ; first , to get it to work...then, it was to wind the cassette to the correct song. It was very disorganised... I can't help but question how come they don't use CD since it is easier to select the track then to wind, rewind, fast forward just to select 1 song ! Obviously , they have no answer. And while fiddling with it, the kids were left to their own devices - with boys playing \"simulated sword-fighting\" and girls quietly sitting on the floor staring at the cassette player. And that was it. the one & only music segment, 5 mins music in 1 sad lesson. subsequent classes, no more music/songs.

Then there were worksheets moment which the kids couldn't follow ... so the teacher will erase and re-do for them before giving them a big tick with a big star (i supposed to present to unsuspecting parents after class leading the parents to think \"wow my kid can do such wonders\")

I don't care what positive reviews others gave ; but i know i can trust my own eyes! So I withdrew him after barely a month but must serve 4 weeks notice, so all in all about 2 months.

Given this episode, i do not know if it even work for the Primary school level. I wouldn't recommend this honestly.

I have not signed my kid up for any chinese class eversince this episode as I am more \"careful\" now.

But I am also considering Berries Kembangan - looks like no feedback so far!

Maisy...thanks for your feedback! I withdrew and chose to forgo the deposit with Molin since I didn't give ample notice. My DS is now with Berries Kembangan....so far so good...at least when I asked him whether he liked Molin or Berries...straight away he answered \"Berries\"...the classes are not at full capacity - there are enough and not too many kids in the class (class size is just nice). Teachers seem OK as well.

I guess I also like that Berries has a reading book and their worksheets are not loose...like Molin's...need to go find folder to keep them

I just feel irritated with myself for coming to this conclusion only after spending 1.5 years in Molin. But, it took another chinese S&D class which he started this Jan for me to realise that it is not chinese per se. So...am busy scrambling for another school...read through all 80+ pages here and it seems no one has feedback on Berries at Tampines Mart...

        Hi VooVoo
could I ask which S&D class is your son in?

        Thanks!

He's at Han Language Centre (Fu Lu Shou)...S&D class only conducted on Sundays currently by a retired experienced school teacher...MMM can elaborate more too πŸ˜‰

            Hi All,

Maybe Molin the Nursery level may not suit some of our child. Same case as Maisy, my child also required to be accompanied with one of the parent & the common word they recite after 1 month is still \"ζˆ‘ζ˜―η”·ε©εοΌŒζˆ‘δΈζ˜―γ€‚γ€‚γ€‚β€œ

Currently my child is with Berries & seem to work out fine.Maybe my initial assessment I fully concentrate on the P1 chinese. I guess Molin would be suitable when the child in P3 & above.

Hi there! Am a mother of a son who would like to seek some advise and feedback as which centre to enrol my son whom is in P1 now. He dislike Chinese very much especially in writing (ζ±‰ε—οΌŒη¬”η”») plus he is also very active child who having difficulties to focus or concentrate during the class. I had gotten him a private tuition teacher but dun seems any much improvement or his interest in Chinese. As some of the parent had been thru, the teacher now is merely going thru the assesment with him only. I had also sent him to Berries for trial lesson but he did not like it. I get to know a centre call C Win Corporation which located in Jelepang Rd, near Bt Panjang side. Has visited their website and get to know their headquarter is in China Beijing. Does anyone know about this centre? How is their teaching there?

U may have mentioned earlier on but can i check with you is your child also an N2 kid?

Can u let me know which teacher is your child under? Chen Lao Shi or Zhu Lao Shi? I also think the lao shi in Berries Kembangan seems more engaging. Xie Xie Ni.
