I heard it is quite expensive? Can share how much you paid?if you're planning short trip, can consider club med cos can park the kids with the GO at the kids playroom, they will be well taken care of
then u and wifey can go relax enjoy the facilities
i just came back from club med in bintan, not bad..nice spread of food -
Hey, I think some of the Clubmed activities need 5 years old and above . However, its a few years back and its at Bintan.
If you really want to cut cost, less hassle and enjoy urself, maybe do a self-drive up melaka- holiday inn. We used to idle there for a few days - enjoy hotel facilities, take a walk down Jonker road, zoo trip, ferry wheel, shopping and makan. Any emergency u still near to singapore to drive back. -

Thanks. That sounds like a good idea. Will explore this option.
Which hotel is good? Holiday Inn? -

We always went Holiday Inn as it was built 3 years back.
there is quite a good blog written by penglee in melacca thread.

How about free n easy, self-drive holiday in brisbane/surfer’s paradise?
Driving is easy there, and with so many self contained apts/theme/nature parks to choose from, you’ll be spoiled for choice. But Dec maybe too hot, though. -

If u do consider plane rides with very young children, then keep the travel distance short. U can start with places that are less than 2 hrs flight away for a start. That may build your confidence. My bro and SIL brought their 3yo daughter to Penang last year and stayed at Hard Rock Hotel. He said that it was child friendly.
Thanks. I'm fearful of the plane ride there with the kids!
If traveling by air is out for the moment, then consider road trips to Msia as it can be quite fun as well. Some places to consider: Malacca, Desaru. I think some forumers have posted some great sharing on KSP.

Yes, I’m thinking of Malacca.
Maybe if I’m adventurous enough, we’ll drive up to Penang. -
can consider Cameron Highland..... cooling as Genting... treat as education trip for kids too.....relax trip for 2 days will be
.. then drop by @ Malacca for Nynoya food... sightseeing....histrorical bldg & for kids can try d MAyang Sari tower, Duck tour, Malc River.....hmmmmm think will be quite interesting... :grphug: :grphug:
