Hello all,
Would like to know if any parents who were selected for the PV interview in 2022 could share what were the questions asked during last year’s interview?
Many thanks in advance

Did you get an interview slot for RGPS PV?
I’m still waiting for my mine…I think no chance already…😔 -
Hello, I have a Primary 2 daughter learning artistic swimming… her coach is planning to set up a team of RGPS to compete… Perhaps those interested can PM me? Thanks.

Yes.
Your questions are very valid.
I have friends who are alumni of XXX primary school and want to try 2A but staying beyond 2/3/4km. They have no car and are keen for school bus but at the same time worried that the child needs to wake up super early 5 school days a week for the next 6 years of the life. Self procastinating. :scratchhead:
If u stay far away from those popular primary school, eg. GEP school & have to wake up very early morning everyday (Mon - Fri) at 5+ just to board (catch) the school bus, and yet not mentally prepared to do so, might as well give up your Phase 2A (old student) slot.
Example
My friend stayed in Pasir Ris.
She gave up her Phase 2A old-girl slot for RGPS (Raffles Girls primary school), a very popular GEP school. Because
she wants her Primary 1 daughter to have sufficient sleep, and not wake up 5.15 am every morning, just to catch school bus to RGPS, at 5.40 am.
In the end, she just enrolled her daughter into a neighbourhood school nearer, much closer in the east. That is, CHIJ Katong primary, and gave up RGPS.
Anyway, at the end of P6, if you are good, if u are hardworking, u will still be able to make it to one of those better Secondary schools, be it via DSA or via PSLE results. -

We do not share any PV (parent volunteer) interview questions openly, publicly
Basically,
we are interested to find out, from you :-
\"In what way, can u contribute to RGPS, with your own skill set, talent(s), time & effort chipped in ? \" -
Hi, has anyone received an invitation email to an interview for parents volunteering at RGPS? Thanks.

Wondering how the culture might now be? The culture didn't honestly feel very inclusive back when I was in primary school which admittedly was a very very long time ago
hi all,
Would like to hear from parents of the current cohort, how do you feel about the culture of the school now? I read some old thread where someone shared that teachers are very concerned with children's academics and also character building, it sounds very comforting. How about now?
And are there any parents who's child is academically weaker (or know someone) and has received help after lesson times from teachers (ie not blatantly asked to go take up tuition)? I mean I don't expect this to be fully a teacher's responsibility but in my time, we have quite a lot of remedials (optional for better student but also welcome to join) on weekends so that we all could catch up to somewhat a more acceptable level. Wondering how far do the teachers go to help the girls. -
