Hi, I’ve heard for schools (e.g. ACSI, SCGS, SNGS, MGS, VS, CGS, etc) with dual track (i.e. IP and O Levels), the school tends to offer O Level track for DSA students even if you specify preference for IP track during the DSA application.

May I know if anyone has experience or info on whether this is true? Our inclination is IP as results are more or less within IP COP, so don’t want to waste a chance to apply and in the end get offered for O level track. Many thanks! 😊
Is this the case only in recent years? I know kids thru DSA sports offered IP in dual track schools.

Most of the kids I know who applied thru DSA got into IP if they are usually single digit scorer… if they are not single digit scorer in p5 or P6… they will be offered O track instead.

Hi, would like to ask if there’s chances to apply DSA in leadership if my child is only a prefect ExCo… Or DSA chinese dance if my child only have ballet background but sport CCA in school. Her results in the range of AL5 - AL7.

Hi May I check when do we need to reply our acceptance of CO? Before or after PSLE result is out?

Do we have a chance to look at the actual PSLE result to determine whether to accept the DSA or to use PSLE result for S1 posting?

                  Decision is made -

AFTER your PSLE is Over in Oct but

BEFORE your PSLE results come out in Nov

I recall my DD's DSA was confirmed on the day of PSLE results itself. How can any decision be made before that??

There are 2 types of decision making :-

                      1) the decision made by P6 (parents + students ), whether to accept or to reject the CO / WL offered, Is done -

AFTER the PSLE is over is October,

                      but

BEFORE the actual PSLE results are out, released in November.

This Is the answer (reply), to rosm question posed.

                      2) However,

the decision made by the DSA school itself, for students who are offered only Wait list, not been offered CO -

will be released on the actual date, when the P6 students collect their PSLE results slip. The WL students will be informed, whether they are successful or have failed, in their WL conversion.

                      WL : waitlist
