Suspect this flight is more targeted towards the Aussies than the Singaporeans. Broome is really off the beaten track!

Actually, no. Wasn't her initial first, or second, or third.... but we adjusted and opted for a suitable one.

Her result was quite bad TBH 😆 I think her teachers were also expecting better result from her.
Nevertheless, it was within the range of my expected results, although that range is quite wide from 9 to 22 😂
TBH, it didn't come as a surprise as she wasn't able to maintain a set of consistency in the lead up to PSLE. A lot of careless mistakes and a lot of marks given away needlessly during practice paper. When she's good, she's very good; when she's bad, she's very bad. For me personally, it's frustrating knowing that you can have all the answers and knowledge but still can't score well in an exam. I think not having enough 'real' exams (mid year / EOY) to 'practice' before PSLE and disrupted lessons / school due COVID had a negative effect on her cohort. I think kids today lack the exam smartness and exam readiness that we used to be drilled in.

That said, every cloud has a silver lining. The 'suitable' school that we opted for, turns out to be a very good choice 😄
Now earmarked as student leader, a member of her CCA's upcoming NSG team, and given ample opportunities to be challenged academically, she's surprising settling in very well. I doubt she would have the same number of opportunities if she had gotten into her earlier choices as she would probably be a small fish among the bigger fishes. She has now put aside the PSLE disappointment and looking at her options after O Level 😂

P/S: I think no one really cares about Broome flights :rotflmao:
