Not all go for bubble tea. Mine just won’t go for anything sugary or unhealthy or ‘unscientific’. I get questioned OK. Lol

But on the send off day , his gf cried alot, and this affected him a while. Then when sending him to aussie for flight training, she also cried alot in airport! I was a bit unhappy ..... but they are still strong n together even now tat he ord :rotflmao:
          Hahaha… attachment strategy.

DS’s gfrd didn’t cry tho. She seems quite level headed. She’s independent type alright. Hope when DS decide overseas is an option, she’ll not dissuade him. Pssst… I alr sent signals to her 😂

You can cook the \"liang cha\" and put it in the refrigerator. Don't say you have made the \"liang cha\" specially for him. Since the weather is very hot, he may want to take the \"liang cha\" instead of ice water too cool his body down.

And now they have so many ways to keep in touch in real time! When my husband and I were in different countries when I did my MA, we wrote to each other twice a week - and it took about 5 days for each letter to reach. So the letters would always cross. We spoke on the phone once a week, but it was quite expensive and on my end, the phone was in the pantry and above the washing machine! Not the most conducive place to have private chats. No mobile phones in those days (1989).

My DS no GF to cry over him. 😂

DS enlistment is not as big as those at tekong. Think his whole company only 115 fellas. Only 2 persons per recruit were invited for their enlistment. Most parents are rather cool. DH was one of those parents who were so excited over the display of the gears and equipment that the boys will be using.

No liang cha for DS either. He believes in good ole water and at most manuka honey. He does not drink bubble tea but will go for a glass of coke sometimes.

DH’s ex-colleague who volunteers in registering the recruits mentioned about about 200 recruits each hour from 8am till 1pm & the exercise runs for 3 days! So, think at least 1K a day.

DS loves the Yeo’s tetrapak chrysanthemum tea with zero sugar. Not many brands have true zero sugar. It was introduced to him by my mum who has diabetes, and now he’s a fan. We have it ready stocked in our fridge; good for the hot weather nowadays.
