DS and most of his frens who had offers received email ard 4-4.20 pm. One on wait list received at 4.30 pm.
DC got an offer at 3.20pm
WL came in about 4.05pm
Rejected email there after
Believe it could also be batching due to the boys who have to receive information on NS disruption. Can I check if the girls receive the generic letter on NS disruption conditions too ? If not, could it be NS and non-NS get it at different batch send ? Or it could it just be by surname order !
Just one of the curious mysteries on who gets sent what and when. Though, I think for those on wait list, itโs important if the timing indeed indicates piority.
Well done to all our children who put in their utmost effort to make the applications and interviews. For those who are disappointed, do stay positive as there is still NUS! -

My DD's offer letter did not have any mention of NS deterrence conditions.
The offer letters are custom to each candidate and their conditions. My DD does not meet MTL requirements as she studied overseas (although she did study chinese till year 12). So her offer is conditional with MTL exemption, if not successful for MTL exemption - she has to clear MTL exams within the 5 years of course.
We will see how exemption application goes after we accept the offer.
DD is just so excited by this offer overall. She still cannot believe it.
Have your DS and his friends accepted the NTU offer or waiting to see NUS offer before deciding?
Does anyone know if one can accept NTU med offer first and then swap if the NUS medoffer comes in later? Or does confirming NTU med offer mean you won't get NUS med offer?
Some insight will be helpful! -
Too early to process. I think NS boys very tired. Booked out then click to see results then go back to sleep.
The boys will have to decide disrupt or not, if offered etc
Also ( not always), there are foreign Uni offers so I am leaving it up to him
entirely. All we can do as parents is fact find and then let them make informed decisions.
Meanwhile, we connect here to see if we can support one another. Grateful for the sharing here.
On why the weekend mmiโs appeared to be more boys - was just likely due to the fact they arrange for more boys on weekends or Fridays as it will be easier for them to book out - after all most will be full SG and likely in Tekong or stay in unit or proper 9-5 pm. This is also likely why the timings of announcements are batched differently - gender , or in your case MTL requirement etc. I think there was Chinese camp on our time โฆ not sure what has changed. -

Absolutely agree, insights and encouragement shared by KSP group has kept us going. And I am being honest about our experience in hopes that it will inspire someone else.

Interesting to see your thoughts about grouping for offer release. I have no clue about it.
My DD and us are more in favour of local SG offers than overseas ones. This can differ from family to family based on circumstances or interest from the DD/DS themselves.
Both NTU and NUS med courses rank very high and world recognised. I fully believe they will groom our DD/DS well to become good doctors.
DD had mid week interview at NTU, and she encountered more boys than girls. NUS interview was more gender balanced. Could be just coincidental for her session or day. Either way we feel blessed ๐๐
I look forward to hear more from other parents and candidates. -
Hi all,
Congratulations for all whose DD/DS received offers! DD received NTU offer but isnโt sure whether she should accept it first in case NUS void her offer, any advice? -

Congratulations to your girl.
Sorry ti hear that amk.
Am sure your DD did her best.
Did your DD give NUS interview?
My girl think she didn't do well for NUS.
So, she already gave up. :slapshead: -

Please tell your DD it's not over - until its really over.
She has to trust that she did her best and do not self doubt herself.
This is one lesson we learnt with the med applications cycle.
My daughter was extremely disappointed and couldn't accept the fact she was rejected by one of her choice university.
As family, we had to really hold and cajole her gently to continue with rest of university interviews, and give her best. And by God's grace and her perseverance, she has a positive outcome. NTU is even higher rank than the university that rejected my daughter. Its their loss I would say.
One rejection does not mean - you will fail in the others too.
Stay positive and strong. -

Only caveat is can hv a choice only if blessed enough to get both. In the meantime, perhaps attend the LKC talks 11 May then, go from there ?
I believe many of the parents and candidates who saw positive outcome at NTU - are still waiting for NUS Med results before making up their minds to pick one of the two offers.
I wish all the best of luck ๐ค๐ผ! -

Agree there Lucid, having one option is lucky enough ๐ค- getting both is a blessing indeed and only select few will have that blessing.

Unfortunately, DD cannot attend the LKC talks on 11th May - as we are overseas citizens. She doesn't want to fly just for that 1-day event.
Hoping there will be recording shared of the presentation for candidates with LKC offers.
Any KSP parents and candidates who attend LKC talks, please share details.
DD is looking forward to actual orientation in July (I think this is when it is traditionally organized).
Work permitting, we (parents) will fly over for the White Coat Ceremony.
