If able to get in Oxbridge with secured scholarship then why not?

I see, both you and your DD are worried that NTU medicine study campus is segregated from rest of NTU colleges.
Fair enough concern from your end.
I believe the reason for this is to keep the Med college near the TTS hospital where the NTU med students will go for placement and other attachments.
As per my research, the accommodation hostel / hall for med students (Pioneer and Crescent) is located in the main NTU campus. So, fret not, the Med students will have ample time and multiple opportunities to mingle with other course students on campus on their off days and days they come back early from classes.

You are right. As per reading on the LKCMed Course Curriculum, Year 3 includes practice of core clinical medicine by working with clinical teams in healthcare institutions.
I have copied the actual statement from LKC website below.
I did read in blogs that bus/transport is arrange by Med School to bring students to and back from placement institutes.
I hope any parent with students in LKCMed or actual LKC students may have more inside info on this. Hope they share further to clear your concerns.

Indeed my elder child has a friend who chose to go to Oxbridge on a non-med scholarship over sg med school. -

In year 1, Jurong vs Novena campus around 50:50

They have ICC (interdisciplinary course with other faculty students) once a week. The contact time in Jurong will be decreasing in year 2 (no more ICC) and year 3-5 mainly clinical in Novena / TTSH.
They have science lab in Jurong and anatomy in Novena. TBL can be in either campus.
Lecture is pre-recorded so it’s OTOT for students to learn as long as it’s before TBL.
Understand from my child in LKC and bestie in YLL that YLL is currently gravitating towards LKC curriculum and YLL adapting house system following LKC. Anyway, both are good schools, your child should be at the age that he/she can choose the best fit for them. -
Almost forgot about this forum…was busy focusing on reddit to track the results from NTU and NUS. DD got an offer from NTU but not NUS. Was also considering the SMU Duke pathway with a possible scholarship and a UK Med school offer but looks like she’ll choose NTU.
Heard that NTU will have a longer term and shorter holidays, earlier engagement with patients and no association with Imperial starting from this batch. And of course,the annual tuition fees for NTU are higher by about 5k/yr…

Secured multiple internships and part time jobs in GP clinics, hospitals and other healthcare facilities over the last few years to trial whether this is the career for her. Of course it helped her CV but more importantly, helped her understand and think whether she could this for life. -

I attended the ntu lkc open house on 2 Mar this year. I asked the question abt intake size. And NTU team happily replied increase fr previously 160 to this year slightly more than 180. Attached the ntu link on event summary on 2 Mar. The intake size increase was stated.

DD was offered both yll & lkc, but chose yll as we could feel the support is much greater, financial aid framework is solid. -
During the NTU open house talk on 2 Mar, Prof Pang did respond to query if prior internships at hospital help in securing an offer. Answer is "yes" if it’s public hospital, but its very limited. "No" if internship at private institutions as sometimes such arrangement was seen with candidate’s parents are also doctor.

DD and I are unable to attend, much to our regret. And the LKC responded that they will not be having any recording of the session.
