Little Skool House
-
I am quite surprise to read about the unpleasant encounters at little skool house tampines as I just started my boy in the school… today is his 2nd day and we are looking forward to next week!
From my observations, the teachers are quite patient and they have 3 to 4 teachers in the class… the principal explained that they are in there to help settle new children. In fact, about a week ago, we were invited over to the school to meet with my boy’s class teachers and have a mini orientation (the teachers showed us around and checked with us on my child’s likes and dislikes). In the principal’s email invitation, many articles on separation anxiety were listed and it really helps me quite abit.
I know that there are 3 to 4 toddler classes though, so my child might be in a different class as yours… -

3 to 4 teachers in the class for how many kids? Wow, sound like the school teachers are incompetent or too rich...I am quite surprise to read about the unpleasant encounters at little skool house tampines as I just started my boy in the school... today is his 2nd day and we are looking forward to next week!

I'm surprised you could precisely know it is toddler class and not other class. I hope u are not any of the non sg teacher, registered today in this forum and started sharing yur 'experience'.I am quite surprise to read about the unpleasant encounters at little skool house tampines as I just started my boy in the school... today is his 2nd day and we are looking forward to next week!

Good luck to you if your toddler is there cos there are emails sent to us to inform that there is increasing case of HFMD recently, something like 6th case already. -
I just wanted to find out more about my child’s school and was surprised to read the negative encounters as compared to my personal experience so joined the forum to comment. What’s more surprising is the replies to my post. I guess all parent’s expectations and perspectives are different so I will take everything I read with a pinch of salt.
My son is down with flu today and naturally everyone (especially grandparents) at home linked the flu to school - not sure if it’s HFMD though. -
Hi there
I am planning to register my 18 month old boy to Little Skool House at OCC… any feedback or experience to share for 18 months old classes?
Thanks! -
My gal is at LSH, by the Vista… lotsa story telling and art craft session. More imptly, they learn to sit, listen, eat n sleep as a class. Its good to learn these things before they start nursury…

Hi Sylpha
The one that my boy will be attending is a 3-hour classes.. so basically play and sing? I am really worried, especially putting a 18 month-old toddler to such schools, who will be prone to illness and stuff.. however it is better than having him alone at home and not able to learn more..
My parents stay in Yishun, so I tot Little Skool House is appropriate.. I thought this is a good forum for parents to share with me if they have also sent their kids to Little Skool House for the same programme at OCC...

Hi mommies,
Anybody has anything to share about the above child care/preschool? Thinking of sending mine there. Quite like the place when i went there, but just want to know other ppl’s thoughts about it too.
BTW this is the one in Pearl Bank Outram park.
Thanks! -
Hi i notice there’s no feedback about The Little Skool-House At-Thomson…
I’m thinking of sending my DD there for her Kindergarten years.
If there’s any related info about The Little Skool-House At-Thomson, pls let me know. I visited there last year when we were searching for a Nursery for my DD and was really impressed with the cleanliness & toilet there. The education structure was okay, i notice it would be more worth-it to sent for the full-day(for nursery) there.
But still, any feedback for kindergarden or anything related about The Little Skool-House At-Thomson would be appreciated! -
Hi everyone,
Just want to speak out some fairness to the school. My 3yrs old son is currently in Little Skool House at Tampines for a few month already. From my exprience I have seen that most of the new children will cry and atleast a week before getting use
I think is rather common for children to cry when they are in a new enviornment. After that they will start to get along with the teachers like what my son did. :celebrate: I think its unfair to said that the center has alots of HFMD cases.
Dun tell me other center dun have... I feel that it all fall on parents part to ensure yr child hygiene when they are not in school. Just like H1N1, its take a few day for the virus to show. I am not siding the school but just that I feel its really unfair to them. All I can said that my son is learning well from the teachers there.
