Yes 🙌… my boy too, graduated from 2023 cohort… scoring between AL5-8 and still with very close contact with his friends 🥰
Referring to (4), you are quite correct 😄 My child was a P6 graduating cohort from 2023. At least 30% of the cohort scored below AL10, and was offered a “scholarship” of some kind to remain in the secondary school, which I thought was a nice gesture. There were quite a handful of boys (including mine) who scored between AL5-8. These kids went on respectively to RI, Catholic High & SJI. They still love their MSHS experience and classmates, and are still in touch! 🥰 -

There was an article this morning on the logistical issues for both AM/PM sessions for the kids.
Actually I thought if the move could be delayed just 1-2 more years at least the P1 kids now can at least complete their entire primary school journey at the same location, and will be less disruptive 🤷🏻

it’s not just the logistical issue. Who will be looking after the kid in the morning? Not everyone has a helper or has a family member to babysit the kid. What about parents who are unable to wfh? What about their school work? Who’s going to guide the kid? Can’t expect the kid to finish their work when they are only back home at 6/7pm. The big question is why turn coed in the holding school and not after the school is ready?

Check with the school whether going to have BASC (before-and-after-school-care) at the holding site.

The kid will have to be in school at 8? and wake up at what time? Won’t it be exhausting for the kid? And parents will be forced to spend extra to have the kid in before school care.

My kid time, there were still primary schools operating in two sessions. My kid sch was one of those last few gone through peri upgrading on site and had two sessions.
Fortunately we found a few before and after school studentcare centres and sticked to one all the way till p6 because both parents are full time working and we have no family or helper arrangements.
Children will have more group living with routine at studentcare and even after she graduated and moved on to secondary school, she still went back to studentcare to volunteer. Her friends too. They help to coach the little ones… Quite an experience.
Studentcare centre will have staff to fetch the students to and from school to centre. -

@lostp-rent I am contemplating to enrol my son nx year into MSHS. However was taken aback by the announcement of the temp site etc because I have younger son who is 3years old. Hence when both are in primary sch, having to manage am/pm sessions scare me as i don’t have help.
I stay about 5min walk near bartley mrt, so was thinking we should enrol into cedar pri instead.
Wondering if the current mshs and temp site would have before & after sch care. But can’t help to worry if their day in sch care and school would be too long for the kids and bad for their development.Any advise gurus. :)) appreciate all kind comments.
