      Hi all,

I have a few questions on PV.

First, a background story to understand before my queries.

I will like to apply PV @ Rosyth next year (2025) for my son born in 2020. I have checked their website yearly since my boy is born and next year PV application starts early Feb 2025. So I will like to prep myself on what's to come if selected.

      1. During the interview, what is usually asked? What should I expect?

      2. I understand from previous posts that if selected, an \"account\" will be tagged to my son's name and both parents can contribute the number of hours to the account. However, if I am the only parent volunteering, as my spouse is relatively busy, will it be okay as well?

      3. What are some examples of PV duties, other than traffic / warden? Do they have like reading buddy / tutor / coach or something like that?

      Thank you in advance!

The screenshot u have posted is quite foreboding (they are “reviewing the continuation of the pv program”…) So i suggest that u kiv a few other schools that u can also pv at. Don’t put all your hopes on this 1 basket, if u know what i mean.

Yes they have “reading buddy” as an option. One of my friends did that for rosyth pv. Sorry i’m not too sure of other details.

go and apply PV in some other schools, instead. Because from what u posted, is a clear sign that Rosyth is alerting parents that -

don't be hopeful, because they can close (shut) down this PV anytime.

So, don't waste time, only keep eyeing at Rosyth only. Cast & toss your fishing net wider into the deep sea. Look for some other primary schools to apply for PV, instead.

Thank you for the responses. I didn't realise on the part of reviewing process, just wanting to get my hopes up. 😞 but I do have another school (Xinmin) to back up for pv. Though its kinda far (1km to 2km) for Xinmin, while Rosyth is just within 1 km.

I will take note of the processing dates for both schools.

Any suggestions on what the interview will be like?

          Thanks.
