My kid time, there were still primary schools operating in two sessions. My kid sch was one of those last few gone through peri upgrading on site and had two sessions.
Fortunately we found a few before and after school studentcare centres and sticked to one all the way till p6 because both parents are full time working and we have no family or helper arrangements.
Children will have more group living with routine at studentcare and even after she graduated and moved on to secondary school, she still went back to studentcare to volunteer. Her friends too. They help to coach the little ones… Quite an experience.
Studentcare centre will have staff to fetch the students to and from school to centre. -

@lostp-rent I am contemplating to enrol my son nx year into MSHS. However was taken aback by the announcement of the temp site etc because I have younger son who is 3years old. Hence when both are in primary sch, having to manage am/pm sessions scare me as i don’t have help.
I stay about 5min walk near bartley mrt, so was thinking we should enrol into cedar pri instead.
Wondering if the current mshs and temp site would have before & after sch care. But can’t help to worry if their day in sch care and school would be too long for the kids and bad for their development.Any advise gurus. :)) appreciate all kind comments.

@lostp-rent thank you so much for spending the time to explain and I think you hit right on the spot about going through inconvenience for a better education / environment.
Personally not so much of a kiasu mum but yet concerned starting education at the right note for their long education journey. I have never felt so anxious before.
As my new place in bartley will only be ready start of y2026 while my son would enrol p1 in y2026, wondering if there is school bus service. I can’t seem to find any similar info available. Do you happen to know?
