I've occasionally seen an elderly Indian man making his rounds on a bicycle carrying bottles of milk where I live. I wonder who orders from them. There wasnt any cooler and the bottles used are pet-bottles that look like they've been recycled too many times.

I think that's cow milk. The goat's milk delivery service is different and the bottles cannot be reused.

DS loves milk, be it cow’s milk or goat’s milk. However, both DW and I do not like the smell & taste of goat’s milk.

We used to visit Hay's Dairies. They deliver to selected areas.

If I did not remember wrongly, Hay's does not use preservatives. Maybe that's why cant sell in supermkt since the shelf life is quite short.

We can only drink Hay's while it is still chilled, else the smell @ room temperature is quite strong.

Fu Hua is also selling bottled goat's milk. I tried once, stronger smell than Hay's.

The Goat’s Milk from Fuhua is imported from a Malaysian farm. It is also more expensive - I presume it’s because of the transport cost plus they are not the manufacturer.

Hay’s milk is without preservative (v impt for us), and since we buy straight from the farm, I presume it’s fresher.

                  smurf,
I’ve not been able to find it at supermarkets for the past two years already. I simply presumed that there wasn’t enough demand, or maybe the supermarkets wanted a bigger cut of the profits? We only bought from the farm in bulk and then put into freezer. I don’t buy anymore because it seems that ds2 can’t take even Goat’s Milk. The delivery service is a little too inflexible for me since someone has to be at home to pay them and they only deliver to certain areas on certain days.

                  tankee,
I don’t THINK there’s a second goat’s milk farm in Singapore. But there is a new cow’s milk brand in the supermarket these days that looks as if it’s also from a local farm - vishnu cow’s milk or something like that.

                        Dear All,

Goat milk is really good. My both kids age 2 and 4 drink goat milk since a year ago.

Cow milk is not easy to digest and it is not for HUMAN.

For those who can read chinese, please take a look at this blog. I knew about this Naturopathic thorugh the famous Taiwanese -Billy who dignose with cancer.
