          Hi Kaye,

CHIJ TP had balloting last year for those staying less than 1km last year at Phase 2C.

My son's school has a high take up rate at Phase 1 yesterday - 175 out of 330 places...figures are higher than Nanyang Primary. So even though 2004 low birth rate, younger siblings can take up majority places...something I just learnt this year.
today is still a registration day ? may be more will be added ??

            Hi verykiasu,

Registration for Phase 1 and for other phases are held on 2 days EXCEPT Phase 2A1. A friend of mine told me it’s automatic for Phase 1 as the older sibling will bring a form back to be filled up every year.

I am very shocked that Pei Hwa has more than half vacancies filled so early :!: . So balloting will take place for Phase 2B. Usually Phase 2A for Pei Hwa has low intake, because members are past child-bearing age according to a reliable source. Parents planning to register in 2C pls have backup plan if staying within 1-2km.

If the school at Phase 1 if hit 50%, then it is best to have backup plan.

The lowered intake of 330 versus 360 in previous years didn't help either.

Pei Hwa dropped to 11 classes this year for P1. At this stage, parents in 2C must have backup plan liao…it’s already surpassed the 50% mark. But Phase 1 is for those who already have older siblings there. Nanyang will face similar situation.

Copy the figures from MOE website and paste into Excel to do the computation...

LKVM, Xingnan is gd? The nearest sch near my place are WG and JW but guess both are popular. Then left Pioneer which is near to my parents place or maybe Corporation cos it’s single session ba.
