DSA 2026

@randomblackore if DSA into schools that are not the top few, then its a lot easier. you represent school in NSG, you take part in some competitions, don’t mess up your interview and you should be ok.

@JensonTan My son was from Fuchun Primary School. I was quite surprised to learn that two students from the school managed to enter Hwa Chong through DSA, one under Humanities and the other under Chinese. I also heard that the school provided support in preparing the students for their interviews. From what I understand, more than 20 students secured DSA offers, many of them from well-regarded secondary schools. Had I known more about this earlier, I would have considered the DSA pathway for my child as well.

One important reminder: don’t force your child into a DSA category just because you the parent want lah. My friend’s child was put into Music DSA but the kid actually didn’t enjoy it at all — now in Secondary 2 the child resent going to school. DSA should complement the child’s genuine interest and strength, not be a shortcut to get into a popular school. Jiayou to all P5-P6 parents doing DSA this year!
