Hey everyone! Hope all families and parents have had a great school and work week so far πŸ™‚

We have just released an article discussing the topic of handling setbacks and emotional regulation in children.

It often begins with something small. A worksheet returned with more corrections than expected. A selection list where their name is missing. A moment where effort did not translate into the outcome they had hoped for.

At first, there may be silence. Then perhaps frustration, or a quiet withdrawal. Some children brush it aside quickly, while others carry it longer than they show. To an adult, it may seem like a routine part of growing up. But to a child, the experience can feel more personal, more immediate, and at times, more final than it actually is.

Setbacks, in these moments, are not just about the outcome. They are about how a child begins to interpret themselves in relation to that outcome.

Do give it a read and let us know your thoughts!

Happy Thursday! Hope all families and parents are looking forward to the end of the school and work week πŸ™‚

For all parents, we have just released an article discussing the topic of β€œrunning long vs. running fast” in the game of life.

It is a scene that plays out more often than we notice.

A child rushes through their work, eager to finish first. Another takes a little longer, checking, adjusting, and moving at a steadier pace. When the results come back, the difference is not always in who finished first, but in who understood what they were doing.

Yet, in many environments, speed carries a certain appeal. Finishing early can feel like an achievement. Quick answers can be mistaken for strong understanding. And over time, children begin to internalise a quiet message, that being fast is a sign of being capable.

But the question worth asking is not how quickly a child can move, but how far they are able to go.

Do give it a read and let us know your thoughts!

Happy Saturday! Hope all families and parents have had a great start to the weekend πŸ™‚

We have just released an article discussing the topic of helping children embrace change with confidence.

It often begins with something small. A new classroom. A different teacher. A shift in routine that was once familiar.

At first, the reaction may be subtle, a hesitation, a question, a slight resistance. In other moments, it may be more visible. A child who was once comfortable becomes quieter, or less willing to engage. The change itself may not seem significant to an adult, but to a child, it represents something unknown.

And it is often the unknown, more than the change itself, that creates unease.

Do give it a read and let us know your thoughts!
