Happy Thursday! Hope all families and parents are looking forward to the end of work week

We have also just released an article discussing the topic of why we should teach children to ask better questions, and not just find the right answers.
From the moment children enter school, they quickly learn that there is tremendous satisfaction in getting the right answer. A correct answer earns marks. It brings praise from teachers, reassurance to parents, and confidence to students. Over time, many children naturally become focused on finding the answer that is expected of them.
There is nothing wrong with this. Academic learning requires structure, and mastering foundational knowledge is essential. But somewhere along the way, something else often begins to disappear. Children slowly stop asking questions.
Not because they are no longer curious, but because they become afraid of asking the βwrongβ question. They worry about looking foolish, slowing down the class, or revealing that they do not fully understand a topic. In environments where correctness is constantly rewarded, curiosity can quietly take a back seat.
Yet if we reflect on the people who have changed the world, very few became influential because they always had the right answers. More often, they were remembered because they asked questions that nobody else thought to ask.
At Educare Tutoring, we believe education should not only equip students with knowledge but also nurture the curiosity that drives lifelong learning. Sometimes the most important lesson is not learning how to answer a question, but learning how to ask one.

Happy Saturday! Hope all families and parents have had a great start to the weekend

We have just released an article discussing why parents should stop preparing a path for their children but rather prepare their children for a path.
Every parent wants the same thing. We want our children to be happy. We want them to succeed. More than anything else, we hope they will be spared from unnecessary hardship.
It is an instinct that begins from the very first day they enter our lives. We hold their hands when they learn to walk. We comfort them when they cry. We step in whenever we see them struggling.
Protecting our children is one of the purest expressions of love. Yet there comes a point where we must ask ourselves an uncomfortable question. Are we protecting our children from difficulties, or are we protecting them from opportunities to grow?
There is an old saying that captures this beautifully: βDo not prepare the path for your child. Prepare your child for the path.β The difference may seem subtle, but it changes everything.
At Educare Tutoring, we believe that education is not about creating a life without obstacles. It is about equipping children with the confidence, judgement and resilience to overcome them.

Happy Tuesday! Hope all families and parents have had a great start to the work week so far

We have just released an article discussing the topic of what it truly means to be a responsible parent and why it begins before a child is born.
Ask ten people what it means to be a responsible parent, and you will probably hear similar answers. Providing food and shelter. Supporting a childβs education. Keeping them safe. Teaching them right from wrong.
These are all important responsibilities. But perhaps responsible parenting begins much earlier than many of us realise. It begins even before a child is born. Before choosing a school. Before attending the first parent-teacher meeting. Before buying the first storybook or enrolling in tuition.
In many ways, becoming a responsible parent starts with preparing ourselves to become the kind of person a child will one day look up to.
At Educare Tutoring, we believe education begins long before formal schooling. A childβs earliest lessons are often learned from the environment their parents create, even before they are old enough to understand words.
