Happy Thursday! Hope all families and parents are looking forward to the end of work week

We have also just released an article discussing the topic of who your child is becoming when nobody is watching.
Parents spend a great deal of time observing their children. We notice examination results. We attend school performances. We watch football matches, piano recitals and graduation ceremonies. These are the moments that naturally attract our attention because they are visible.
But there is another question that may be even more important. Who is your child becoming when nobody is watching? Who are they when there is no teacher supervising? When there are no parents around? When there are no rewards to earn or praise to receive?
Because character is rarely revealed during lifeβs biggest moments. More often, it is revealed during its quietest ones.
At Educare Tutoring, we believe education should help children succeed publicly, but more importantly, it should help them develop values that guide them privately. A personβs greatest decisions are often made when nobody else is there to applaud or correct them.
Do give it a read and let us know your thoughts!

Happy Saturday! Hope all families and parents have had a great start to the weekend

We have just released an article discussing why parents cannot always make every decision on behalf of their children, and hence why they need to teach them how to make good ones.
When children are young, parents make almost every important decision for them. What they eat. When they sleep. Where they go. Which school they attend. How they spend their time.
This is necessary. Young children simply do not yet have the experience or judgement required to make many decisions independently. But something must gradually change as they grow older.
At some point, the role of a parent has to shift from making good decisions for a child to teaching the child how to make good decisions for themselves.
This transition is not always easy. Making the decision ourselves is often faster. We have more experience. We can see consequences our children cannot. And naturally, we want to prevent them from making mistakes we already know how to avoid.
Yet there is a problem. One day, we will not be there when the decision needs to be made.
At Educare Tutoring, we believe preparing children for the future involves more than giving them knowledge. It also means helping them develop the judgement to use that knowledge wisely.

Happy Tuesday! Hope all families and parents have had a great start to the work week so far

We have just released an article discussing the topic of whether in a world of instant gratification, are parents teaching children how to wait.
We live in perhaps the most convenient period in human history. Hungry? Food can arrive at our doorstep. Want to watch something? Thousands of programmes are available immediately. Curious about something? A search engine or artificial intelligence tool can provide an answer within seconds. Want to speak to someone? Send a message and watch for the reply.
Convenience has transformed our lives in remarkable ways. But for children growing up surrounded by immediacy, there is an important question worth asking: What happens when almost everything arrives quickly, but the things that matter most still take time?
Learning a language takes years. Building a meaningful friendship takes time. Becoming excellent at mathematics requires repeated practice. Developing a career takes decades. Building trust is slow. Building character may take a lifetime.
At Educare Tutoring, we believe one of the increasingly important lessons for children is understanding that not everything valuable comes quickly. Sometimes the ability to wait, persevere and continue working without immediate reward becomes an advantage in itself.
