I’m curious about the LINX procedure for GERD. What made your doctor recommend it instead of continuing with medication?

My acid reflux kept coming back even while I was taking medication, especially after meals and at night. Dr Shanker assessed my condition and discussed the LINX procedure as an option because medication wasn’t controlling my symptoms well enough. I visited Dr Shanker at the Digestive Centre, where I received advice from a Bariatric Surgeon in Singapore. He also explained how LINX uses a small ring of magnetic beads around the lower oesophagus to help prevent stomach acid from flowing back up.
