Is your daughter under GEP and did not require to take the GAT test bos SA1 above 80%. My daughter took her GAT on 21 Jun but until now, still no news.BTW, she did not managed to complete her questions. Think no hope lah.

Don't worry, my daughter's classmates (also under GEP) still don't get email or call from RGS about interview...

don't be so discourage.......
if yr daughter is consistent with good results throughout the yrs
it is much easier to get in these hot fav schools via PSLE results.........

My son is going for the RI GAT tomorrow. He’s been consistently good in all other subjects (high 80s and 90s even fullmarks in Maths) for Maths , Science and English. He’s bn getting Distinction for NSW for all 3 subjects and also won a Silver award for 2009 NMOS. He’s apply RI DSA under academic domain : Maths which is his strongest subject. He’s also strong in CCA i.e. scout leader and won scouts awards yearly. He’s also received the Edusave award yearly since P2.


But he is weak in Chinese ( got a C for P6 SA1). I wonder what are his chances.

no concrete info, heard for Math Domain it is Maths Olympiads style questioning, including showing the solution like say SMOPS second round...

For Languages no idea - what i gather from DD's letter is
Oral and written comm
Literary Appreciation

My word of advice- They do not want the kids to prepare which means there is nothing you can do in a week , you should be able to take an open test and succeed, that is what they are looking for. It will be in a format a good P6 student can tackle. You will be briefed b4 the test. So why worry?
Anyway if one doesnt succeed , there is still PSLE - the known devil.

I am a newbie...Got selected under my Domain - Chinese. Any idea wht will be asked for the half day selection test ( which is day after tomorrow...Sat..)and the actual time which will be given 4 the test???

They mentioned clearly in the email what you are going to be tested on. For Math, it's my domain too, i think the question are the 'think out of the box' type. last minute revision won't work for such topics, it would only make you worse. that's exactly why they test us on it and tell us the topics before hand. It does not make a difference, but if you not so good at those types it would let you be mentally prepared for the worst.
