Looks like CHS has the largest number of registration so far compare to all schools.
It is also higher than all previous years.
2B will sure ballot. -

CHS does not has the largest number of registration so far. It has the least balanced vacancies among the 4 schools here as it has a small total vacancy.
And yes, Catholic high is very likely to ballot for within 1km for phase 2B & 2C, as per previous years. -
Yep, you are right.
I should say highest Percentage.

For CH, since there's only 62 vacancies left for 2A2, what happens if:Yep, you are right.

1/ exactly 62 applicants turn up ? does it mean all will be approved ? So the school will effectively close for registration?
2/ more than 62 vacancies apply? How will the balloting be conducted? Does home distance to school matters?
Would appreciate some advice. -

Correct. All places will be allocated to the 62 applicants. No phase 2B or 2C for CHS then. For CH, since there's only 62 vacancies left for 2A2, what happens if:

Would appreciate some advice.[/quote]As with all other phases, once the number of applicants exceed the number of places, allocation will be determined by balloting. In this case, those living within 1km will be given priority, ie, places will be allocated to them first, followed by those between 1 - 2km, then finally those outside 2km. -
Thks Big Devil for confirmation.
This year's phase 1 and phase 2A1 high intake took all of us by surprise. Besides ACS (pri) having a high alumni intake, CH is ranked 2nd for this year! And we all thought year 2004 has a low birth rate... :? Do you think if all 62 places are taken up by 2A2, will MOE or Principal of CH be compelled to take in some PV who have finished their 40 hrs work? There's no precedence so one wonders what happens next? -
first, unlikely to have all places taken up before 2B.
second, MOE and school have NO obligation to take in some PV. This is made very clear upfront. PV only give eligibility to register in phase 2B, not a guarantee for a place in the school.
third, no precedence, as places had never ever for any school filled up by 2a2. -
Thanks Tankee for your kind evaluation. :celebrate:

I am also going to register my son in CHS under Phase 2B, within 1km. Cant really believe that the year with the lowest birthrate and yet the take up rate is the highest in the last few years.
we have no backup plan at all⦠sigh⦠-
Hi bigfoot,
I'm quite sure that after 2A2, the seats left isn't too many. maybe less than 10.
it's very demoralizing isn't it?
