Hi all,
wifey’s primary school was Bedok Girl’s school, which later becomes Bedok Primary School. Anyone can advice whether the school is closed for good or already merged to another school?
Thanks.

Hi viosbbs
I was formerly from Bedok Girls' too, still remember the big field we shared with Bedok Boys'. I did try searching in the website provided here last year when I was registering for my gal. Didn't manage to find any information so not sure if Bedok Primary is closed for good -
Hihi,
Thanks Jedamum for the reply.. I tried writing to MOE and they hv confirmed that the school i was previously from is closed..
Attaching the reply below to share...

Hi Barney & viosbbs
You may like to write to this email address to determine the status of your school... \"[email protected]\"

Extracts from MOE's reply...
\"We would like to share with you that as the population of school-going children in an estate changes, in some cases resulting in low and falling enrolment in a school, the Ministry of Education (MOE) do have to consider closing or merging the low enrolment school so that the students could enjoy a broader range of programmes which a larger school with the critical mass of students could offer. You might be pleased to know that since 2002, MOE has decided not to close down low enrolment school, but rather to merge them with another school to form a good size school. This way, the merged school can continue to grow on the history and heritage of the two schools. Parents who had studied in schools which had been merged would thus be able to continue their ties with their alma mater as part of the new merged school, and they would be eligible for consideration for Phase 2A(2) registration in the merged school.
The current Primary One Registration Framework aims to provide children with school places fairly according to a set of transparent criteria and reflects a careful balance of considerations such as convenience for the family, parents’ ties to the school and home-school proximity. However, Jin Shan Primary School (formerly located at clementi) was closed down in Dec 1997 and has not merged with any other schools. Therefore your child will not be eligible for phase 2A.
WE would like to share that parents can register their child in any school in Singapore at phase 2C if your child is not eligible from phase 1 to phase 2B. Alternatively, you may refer to the following website for the schools available: http://www3.moe.edu.sg/schdiv/sis//\" -
