Hi,
I understand that Saint Anthony Canossian Primary School does not have PV. Can anyone advise what is the eligibility for Phase 2B then? -
You must be a Catholic to qualify under Phase 2B

So now that the \"guaranteed\" Phases 1 and 2A are over, let's have a quick look at the highlights.
CHIJ Katong
- Very slight increase of TUR (1%). Not enough to cause any worries that there might be balloting in Phase 2B or 2C.
Fengshan
- Fengshan has always been thought of as the \"backup\" school for Bedok, but the trends are showing that it is fast becoming \"elite\" in parents' minds. Fengshan lost 30 vacancies this year, and it's Phase 1 TUR is 9% higher than historical average. The last time the cumulative TUR at Phase 2A was 59% was in 2006, when there was balloting in Phase 2C for those 1-2km. It might happen again this year, as parents decide it is better to just go for Fengshan in Phase 2C than to risk the guaranteed balloting under 1km for the school in Phase 2C Sup.
Red Swastika
- A slight decrease in TUR for Phase 1, but the increase in Phase 2A brought the cummulative TUR to 75% compared to last year's 73%. There is no escaping balloting in Phase 2C for those under 1km. The question is whether balloting will be needed for Phase 2B.
St Stephen's
- St Stephen's continues its steady downward trend for Phase 2A cummulative TUR from 57% in 2006 to 31% this year, although the number of vacancies has been steady at 210 throughout. Hopefully this is not a sign of the school losing lustre with parents. There has always been balloting for the school in Phase 2C for those more than 2km away. It will likely be the same this year.
Yu Neng
- A stunning 18% increase in TUR, and it happened for both Phase 1 and 2A. This is probably due to the reduction of 30 vacancies for the school. The cummulative TUR is now 74%, and there is no escaping balloting in Phase 2C and only those less than 1km need apply. The only question if balloting may need to happen in Phase 2B - that would be a first in the last 5 years. -
