I will choose SCGS too, since there is no headache of secondary school. 10 years is as far as I can consider. For JC, let the child work hard to get into a good one.
RGPS doesn’t have affilation to RGS, so there is pressure to perform well.

For those who failed in Nanyang Primary School, a handful of them will head for Bukit Timah primary School. A neighbour of mine who failed in the balloting within 1km for her 1st and 2nd child turned to New Town Primary School. She will be trying her luck again this year for her 3rd child.....

have a friend who transfer out their girl from RGPS in Pri 4 to another school that has affiliation to a secondary school - because the girl is just \"getting by\"

while there are others who transfer in as a higher ability high achiever self motivated kid......

Well, until my gal is in the system, no one can really tell how well she would do. She is quite bright, but I am not so sure about her motivation part as she is rather happy-go-lucky, not easily stressed and neither that competitive by nature (or maybe competitive up to a certain level, but if the going gets too tough...) :roll:

My first instinct would have been RGPS, if not for the fact that it would be relocating temporarily in the next 2 years. Also wonder if the current environment would be conducive for the students... think I had seen some discussions in the RGPS thread about this previously. And what about the teachers there? Remember someone kept saying that the teachers there don't teach??

Another thing is, we live closer to SCGS...

By the way, she had been telling me that she wants to study in RGS eventually... lol

"convention" has it that SCGS girls end up becoming rich tai tai, living a tai tai lifestyle, and main occupation is ‘shopping’. Heard some teachers asked their your charges :"what is your mom’s occupation?" and quite a few answers are "shopping"

while RGS kids graduate to become cold corporate bigwig and spinster
