Thanks, verykiasu2010, VooVoo, rugrats_pat, tankee, janet_lee88. You have pretty much sumed up my dilemma. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Well, until my gal is in the system, no one can really tell how well she would do. She is quite bright, but I am not so sure about her motivation part as she is rather happy-go-lucky, not easily stressed and neither that competitive by nature (or maybe competitive up to a certain level, but if the going gets too tough...)

My first instinct would have been RGPS, if not for the fact that it would be relocating temporarily in the next 2 years. Also wonder if the current environment would be conducive for the students... think I had seen some discussions in the RGPS thread about this previously. And what about the teachers there? Remember someone kept saying that the teachers there don't teach??

Another thing is, we live closer to SCGS...

By the way, she had been telling me that she wants to study in RGS eventually... lol

just a joke for you : (hope the parents of SCGS girls donโ€™t slam me)

"convention" has it that SCGS girls end up becoming rich tai tai, living a tai tai lifestyle, and main occupation is โ€˜shoppingโ€™. Heard some teachers asked their your charges :"what is your momโ€™s occupation?" and quite a few answers are "shopping"

while RGS kids graduate to become cold corporate bigwig and spinster

        lol โ€ฆ rofl โ€ฆ

Come to think of it....not sure if my DS will survive in NYPS...

I've heard of the SCGS one, but not the one on RGS...

I thought the ones slamming you should be the RGS girls.

So is the consensus that RGPS is academically stronger than SCGS?

Not easy to be a rich tai tai.

First must be able to mix with the right crowd so as to meet the right rich guy, then must be able to attract that rich guy & get him hooked.

I would choose RGPS, despite having no affilation.

                  May I ask why?

Maybe SCGS provides the right crowd to meet the right rich guy.

The rest is up to the individual. ๐Ÿ˜‰
