For NUSH, they clearly state that there will be 400 applicants shortlisted for the Maths and Science camp. Does RI release any numbers for 2nd round selection test?

Did anyone try DSA via Chinese Orchestra? Does anyone know what is the min criteria to do that? Eg for piano/violin, one should have at least grade 5 in theory and grade 7 in practical. I’m wondering about Chinese instruments. Thanks!

I know for sure you can’t study for it… My niece took it last year and it’s those sort of gep test questions. Thinking out of the box, yeah something along those lines. My daughter’s taking on sat too! Good luck to yours!

DSA via CCA has to be the CCA that the school is focused on, which is usually stated in their DSA info pack. Perhaps Chinese Orchestra could be classified under Music ? -

Depends on the school also.
I think if you are talking about schools like RI, Chinese instrument players are at a disadvantage unless the student is familiar with western music as well and the 5-line score notations. Bc for RI, they take in, not simply under Music CCA, but under “MEP\"(music elective programme).
If look under schools like Dunman could be better - i think Dunman - it's stated if have Grade 5 certification, no need to do audition? You go check their website.
For other schools that take in under Chinese Orchestra CCA domain, like Catholic High, Chung Cheng, maybe others like Ngee Ann or Pasir Ris too, i'm not sure.? I think most do not specify a grading, but just need to go for audition./test. -

HCI website says that HCI releases results of both DSAs candidates at the same time, so I don't suppose it will comm any confirmed offers before all candidates have been tested/interviewed.Some applicants to NYGH has got offers, according to some parents' postings here.
How about other schools ? Any news ? -
