auntieM:
Wow, shaolin kungfujedamum.. ...
My DS attends wushu classes at Chi Life Studio located at Orchard Hotel Shopping Arcade.
His Shifus are from Shaolin and my DS has been there for almost 4 years liao.
-
When we started classes then there wasn't much choice.
We decided to go for this place cause the classes are conducted indoors and class size is smaller.
The Shifus there are good with kids.

thanks Barney.:)

girls that are potential in wushu are rare gems. Unlike gym, more competitive. if she likes wushu, go for it. it is a performing sport, will not result her as \"tomboy\".Hi all. My DD2 is a very flexible and hyper-active girl and i'm considering
to allow her to join Wushu for her CCA, since they offer that in her sch.
Can anyone share more about this sport?
I'm in 2 minds whether to send her for gymnastics or wushu at the moment.
Both seem to fit her super active nature and i know for sure she will like it.
Was initially considering ballet as well since it is also offered in her school,
but she's definitely not a girly sort of girl. More tomboy-ish like me... so i
think ballet wud bore her after a while.
How much does it cost to learn wushu outside in say CCs?
I want to make a comparison to the school's fees which i
should think would be cheaper. Thanks in advance.
should start young to let them accumulate their experience, especially competition , where eventualy can use them for DSA. Be it wushu or gym...it takes a while to confirm their potential & interest, then results. highly recommend wushu at Wufang Singapore where both my sons are learning. website below for reference :-

4.5yrs might be a little young. You can try Siglap South CC. They train in small grp and indoor. -
Can try ‘elitewushu’. They have a wushu camp in Dec at Tanjong Katong Rd with CDAC. 1 and 2 Dec, 10am-5pm. Maybe can let your children experience wushu and see if they like it. Heard all the coaches are local english and chinese speaking. Former national athletes coaching in well known schools like catholic High and Maris Stella etc…
