OIC, if you are selected, SHHK will prob inform you soon as they have 2 intake a year.

You may get a chance to get the recommendation letter from Huay Kuan as I see that there are more members opting for Ai Tong/Tao Nan/Nanchiau than CF, so their demand is not as great as the rest of the schools.

      See u in Huay Kuan if u become a member ! 😄

Hi I am new to this forum.

I need to check if there is any feedback of Sengkang Primary school?

I need to register my son for Pri 1 this year and dun know whether to register:

          a) Sengkang pri - downstair n convenient, single session
          b) Holy Innocents Pri - In Hougang, my former school,

          Can anyone help me?

          Regards

            Hi Neostar,

Both schools are not bad. I’ve heard that many people had been queuing/trying to get into Holy Innocent. Since you are an ex-student, and if the logistic is of no issue to you, if I were you, i would place my child in HIPS. Furthermore HIPS is a school with longer history and being a student there before, you should know whether it is a good choice for you. think HIPS is teaching higher chinese? Correct me if I’m wrong.

              Hi Neostar,

Honest enough, both are good sch. HIP- since you are there in the past.
Seng Kang- this recent years, their students did well.

Again, doesnt mean that the student did well means the credit goes to the school. Some parents are willing to spend more money for enrichment programme and etc.

HIP is a better choice. Many parents queued for their child to get in.

In Hougang area, HIP is one of the good sch.

                Based on last year statistic.

                HIPS need balloting in P2B (>2km) and P2C (<1km)
SPS still have vacancies in 2C Sup.

Based on the demand HIPS is more popular.

                  Hi,

For her to register in HIP, it is very easy, she is the ex-student. 100% she will be able to secure a vacancy for her kid. As what you said for SPS- 50%- 50%

I was the ex-student from one of the top 10 sch in Singapore, I registered and my son got in. Very easy, need not to be a volunteer.

I think the chances for her kid to get into both schools is 100%.

HIPS - P2A2 (sure get in)
SPS - P2C (no ballot, sure get in also)

The statistic is only to show how popular both schools are based on last year registration numbers. For this case, obviously is HIPS.

                      Hi Guys

                      Thanks for your feedbacks.

Ya...lots of my friend also advise me not to give up my chance of registering my boy in HIPS (popular, SAP and affliated to SEC school).

My concern is really on logistic 😞 I heard from my friend that if kid have CCA then school bus is not going to pick him up. Thats why I am checking SKP as it is just downstair, single session, in house BASC. BUT academic? why so not popular in SK over the 10 years? Haiz....confused.
