Can anyone tell me why Lakeside and West Grove so popular nowadays? i felt that my chances to enroll for my kid into Rulang is totally zero and for West Grove chances also very slim... sigh... Does West Grove is also a good Academic school? no more time left to think for my selection already sigh...

Err... I'm sorry to deliver you bad news... but if you are staying >2km away from Rulang and West Grove and registering at Phase 2C (I don't think u mean 2C2??), I'm afraid you won't even have a chance of balloting.

Maybe i'm a kiasu type but West Grove is also a Popular school in Jurong West area? i don't have much info of this school, if that so i rather choose other school in order to secure a place for my kid but also need to consider the traveling distance.

But please note that only those staying less than 1km got to ballot last few years.

If you still have not, I suggest you check the distance of your home to the schools you have in mind. meanwhile, it is best to have a Backup Plan.

Good luck.[/quote]I think you should know better than me why i prefer Rulang but now think chances is totally zero so i switched to another option to West Grove the purpose i choose this school is because i heard that this school is quite strict to Pupils but don't know whether those parent gave me this info accurate or not maybe i think i must make a trip down to the school and observe it personally. Well, i will choose Jurong West as my backup plan but heard that this school also need to ballot :stupid:

It would be good to go down and check out for yourself. After all, different people have different standard - e.g. what may appear strict to others may not be so by your standards..

2. your choice of school (Phase 2C2) should you fail to secure your preferred choice at Phase 2C

Since both WG and JW will have balloting under Phase 2C... I would suggest that your rethink on your Backup Plan...
