Hi,

Taken RI 1st Round on 9th, now waiting for results...
Selected for camp @ NUSH on 24th July.
      Many in the same boat?

One boy in my class has NUS High, RI and HCI 2nd round on 24th July. It is the only good news today so far. πŸ˜„

how come did not submit application earlier so that there is a chance of getting an earlier DSA test, esp for HCI & RI ?
If applied earlier to RI, could have gotten into earlier test. But for HCI, earlier phase is for gep, sports dsa or smops silver and above applicants.

Apply to HCI also does not mean will be shortlisted to take part in its DSA. If one is shortlisted and decide not to participate due to better options, there is no need to pay $50. I come across students who apply but not shortlisted for DSA. In such case I think HCI does them a favour not to waste their $50 .

for both RI and HCI, you can apply for the S$50 fee waiver

You can apply if you are under financial assistance scheme . Have I left out other criteria?

HCI says even for waitlist, must still put them as first choice.......sure to get (more than 50% chance)....may be they know many of the kids will have multiple offers

Believe only few places left for HCI phase 2, maybe 50-70?? 😞

Majority goes to GEP, SMOP awardees & sports.

HCI phase 1 does not means you have better chances than phase 2 - unless you are gep or smops platinum. A candidate in phase 1 may have gold or silver in smops but another in phase 2 may have better school results and other achivements. I think very much depends on how you perform on the DSA tests and interview. Also note that HCI does not announce results of phase 1 until they have completed phase 2.
