I'm new here, i'm eyeing scgs for my girl and planning to do PV. Can someone please help me understand their past registration data (http://www.scgs.edu.sg/content/view/25/156/), under the P2B and 1KM? under what Phase is 1KM? If i do PV i will be under P2B right?

Hi Hollandv,

Please give it a try, who knows, you may get in. I missed quite a no. of PV application when my girl was in N2, and I only applied for SCGS PV when my girl was K1 last year. After reading all the threads about SCGS PV in forums, I didn't think that we had any chance to get in, but interestingly they called us for an interview and the school was interested in both myself and my hubby's profile.

The good thing about doing PV for SCGS is that since the no. of PV is very limited, you will tend to get a higher chance, and the staff and teachers are all so friendly:) Really makes me like the school more and more

The admin staff is super friendly, called me twice to remind me about the registration date next week and the documentation that I need to bring along.

Hi Citygirl. We just registered my boy for SJIJ Phase 2A2. FYI. There is no alumni in SJIJ that’s why nil application under 2A1 lah.


Read somewhere in the forum that SJIJ may be shifting to old Victoria site. Any truth in that?

What I heard (all rumours of course) was that SJIJ were a bit late in \"choping\" a holding site. CHIJ (TPY) got the old Victoria site (I presume that this is the one at Kallang Bahru) for two years (2011-12). So apparently SJIJ were to go there in the 2013-2014 timeframe.

Hwr, CHIJ(TPY)'s move has been apparently postponed for a year :? So, if SJIJ's move is to go there, it will probably be 2014-2015.... perhaps...

I have a vested interest in the move as my son will go there in 2012. I live in AMK so I hope if SJIJ moves, it goes to Toa Payoh or better still ... AMK

My take is this will be the first year SJIJ will have no balloting for Phase 2B.

My bet is there will be balloting for more than 2km for SJI this year..

P1 registration can be nerve wrecking!

I think SJIJ will have balloting outside 2km. Lots of new developments in the area which may mean the number of entrants within 1km or 1-2km might be higher. Also, ACSP seems very popular this year so that might drive those in the vicinity to try for SJIJ instead? Anyway, good luck to all!
