2010 DSA(Direct School Admission)

Is HCI DSA phase 1 having greater chance than those in phase 2? In past years, any confirm offer to Phase 2 pupils? What is the chance of those got waitlist under phase 2? Can someone pls share?

If my memory serves me correctly, during this year's Open House, the spokesperon explained that there is no difference between Phase 1 and Phase 2 and that this is done to ease their manpower constraint in administering the DSA exercise.

DS applied under Science.[/quote]YKiasu if the NUSH ends at 2.30 ask the ppl at NUSH saying that you have to go somewhere and ask them to let him off 10 min early. If you are late for the test they gave me ten minutes.
mine was the blur kind of chinese teacher who did not understand english but managed to get 10 min out of her not sure for others.

May I know what is yr ds's decision? At least yr ds's RI 2nd round will start from 2.30pm. RGS's will starts from 8.30am. Difficult decision especially for those applied thru' science domain.

My 2 cents worth:

If your kid is not from GEP, it's probably easier for him/her to get a DSA offer from NUSH than RI/RGS.

Having said that, which school does your dd/ds prefer? If his/her first choice is RI/RGS, then I say go for RI/RGS, because the PSLE cut off point for NUSH is lower than RI/RGS and it'll be easier to get in via PSLE results in the event he/she doesn't make it to RI/RGS via DSA.

I find it rather unsettling that the MOE does not intervene…this time clash is just not fair for the students nor their parents applying for DSA in these various schools.


Even to this stage when the students has proven that they good enough, they still are put in this very difficult position of having to make a choice. Sending the kids from NUSH and the to RI is crazy! The child will be totally depleted by then.

guess as parents we don’t hv much choice but to help our kids make the right choice.
