      Thanks for the welcomes!

I understand VS has no feeder primary school. But is there unofficial info - from which primary school does VS get most of its Sec 1 cohort?

Reason I'm asking is - there may be peer pressure when choosing secondary schools and I hope to leverage on that.

And for the record, I think selecting a primary school will count as one of the most stressful events in my life.

      Cheers
it is either via DSA or via S1 posting after PSLE results released

Sorry, but what is DSA? And after S1 posting - where can I get that info?

                  Thanks for the warm welcome!

But I'm still lost. Is there information from the secondary schools on where each of them get most of their students from?

Conversely, do each of the primary school have data on which secondary school most of their students graduate to?

                  :?

distribution of PSLE graduates to the secondary schools are by merit, in order of the PSLE scores and based on the students' choices of schools.

no way any secondary school can tell you where their students are from until after the S1 posting of each year

however, it is common sense that top secondary schools will attract more students from top primary schools

                      thanks grandmasterI.

So do we approach the secondary school for the S1 posting to find this info? Or is there anything online with this data?

If I can identify from which primary school does VS gets majority of its S1 intake, I hope to send my kid there. From my own experience, I tend to choose the school where most of my peers would go.

                      cheers

I doubt anyone / nor MOE can tell you the info. Not that they don't want to tell. It is impossible to tell. Who can divine for each cohort, how many with what t-score from which primary school will apply to VS ?

If you are keen, you apply through the centralised MOE posting for S1 using the PSLE t-scores.
